This manual provides an overview of low-cost and environmental-friendly half-pearl production for coastal communities. The manual provides practical guidance on how to select suitable farm sites; obtain adequate pearl oysters; implant nucleus into the pearl oyster; process the half-pearl and make jewelry. The manual is designed to help extension agents and other practitioners working with coastal communities to provide technical support required in initiating and maintaining half-pearl farming.
