A collaborative policy communication initiative by the OA Alliance and WIOMSA has released an insightful set of graphics on “Designing a Regional Ocean Acidification (OA) Program in the WIO.”
The visualisations are part of the wider “Mapping OA Monitoring and Research Recommendations to Policy in Africa,” project. This initiative seeks to build on the 2022 WIO OA report, which assessed ocean acidification in Kenya, Tanzania, Mozambique, South Africa, Mauritius, and Seychelles, providing recommendations for future research priorities.
This initiative aims to facilitate stakeholder understanding of the linkages between OA science & monitoring to achieving and implementing climate, marine and development priorities across the WIO region and the continent.
