We are pleased to announce that the official report of the 13th WIOMSA Scientific Symposium, held in September 2025 in Mombasa, Kenya, is now available. The report details the event’s goals, key discussions, outcomes, and future priorities for the Western Indian Ocean region. This milestone gathering brought together over 1,290 participants from 43 countries, fostering regional collaboration on ocean science, policy, and community engagement. The report also highlights insights from participant surveys, key recommendations, and the region’s path forward in sustainable ocean governance.
