Prof. Lena Gipperth has been appointed the Chair of the Cities and Coasts Programme Committee, moving across from the MASMA PC where she served as a member since 2005. Prof. Gipperth works at the Department of Law, University of Gothenburg. Lena does research in Environmental Law, with a principal focus on water and marine resources. She is currently involved in transdisciplinary programs: FRAM Centre for Future Chemical Risk Assessment and Management Strategies (www.fram.gu.se), ZORRO – Zostera restouration – Interdisciplinary research about management and restoration of eelgrass in Sweden (https://havochsamhalle.gu.se/havsforskning/zorro), CHANGE – Changing antifouling practices for leisure boats in the Baltic Sea (http://changeantifouling.com/). She is the Director of the Sea and Society, a cross faculty centre for all marine/maritime activities at University of Gothenburg.
