Henitsoa Jaonalison

Country Coordinator (Madagascar)


Henitsoa Jaonalison is a marine fish ecologist. He is a PhD candidate in Marine Biology for the University of Reunion and in Applied Oceanology for the University of Toliara. His main research focused on the ecology of fishes associated with coral reefs and seagrass meadows in Madagascar. He has some expertise on ecological modelling using machine learning technique with R programming, on molecular-based identification of fishes, and on resource management. He is the country coordinator of the WIO-ECSN in Madagascar since its creation.
