Chumbe Island Coral Park (CHICOP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Blue Economy and Fisheries Zanzibar, the Western Indian Ocean Marine Science Association (WIOMSA) and the French Embassy in Dar es Salaam is organizing an Ocean art contest in line with the UN World Oceans Day theme 2022 “Revitalization: Collective Action for the Ocean: Shedding light on the communities, ideas, and solutions that are working together to protect and revitalize the ocean and everything it sustains.”
The competition whose focus is on drawings which illustrate how students and their communities protect the ocean is open to secondary schools students ; aged 15-17. Drawings should be submitted by 1st June 2022 at the Chumbe Office.
The winners will be awarded an educational trip to Chumbe Island on World Oceans Day.
