The International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Global Marine Programme and the Oceanographic Research Institute (ORI) South Africa, have a pleased to announce the East Africa Coral Reef Crime Scene Investigation (CSI) Training Workshop, a field-based training in investigative and forensic techniques for supporting enforcement and litigation in relation to anthropogenic reef impacts. The workshop is organized by IUCN, ORI, and the International Coral Reef Initiative (ICRI), with support from US Department of State.
The training workshop will be held in South Africa in November 2009 (exact dates to be confirmed) and is suitable for coral reef and MPA resource managers, environmental assessment specialists, marine field investigators and scientists, marine police, coast guard and litigators.
