The course: "Marine Management - Good Governance in Practice" is organised by SIDA (the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency) in collaboration with the Swedish Maritime Administration, the Swedish Board of Fisheries, the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency and the Swedish Coast Guard.
The course is focusing on the Eastern African Region and is aimed at
participants working with issues similar to those of the organising
agencies.
The course will be held in two sections: November 12-December 8 2007 in
Sweden, and May 26-May 30 2008 in East Africa (location still to be
defined.
All fees and expenses for participation is sposored by SIDA except for
travel which is to be self-funded.
The course is a great opportunity for institutions and organisations in the
region to build capacity and promote exchange on marine and coastal
governance.
In the context of the Nairobi Convention, we therefore ask you to consider
applying to participate and to spread information about the opportunity to
other relevant prospective participants.
